Session 1: Pharmacy Technician Shortage: Impact and Response

Over the past decade, pharmacy technician roles and responsibilities have continued to evolve to support advancing the role of the pharmacist in direct patient care. Based on the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for pharmacy technicians is expected grow over the next 10 years. However, shortages in this vital professional area have been significantly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Join ASHP Board members and our Vice President of Member Relations to share perspectives and strategies on how to address this critical workforce issue.

Session 2: Encouraging a Statewide Effort for Adoption & Implementation of ASHP PAI 2030 Recommendations
Tuesday, Dec. 7 • 2 to 3 p.m. ET
Join us for a discussion on ASHP’s PAI 2030 initiative, a guide to drive change and transform pharmacy practice over the next decade. Members of the AHSP Board of Directors and Practice Advancement team will be on hand to answer questions, share updates and discuss opportunities to encourage adoption and implementation of PAI 2030 recommendations at the state level.

Session 3: Provider Status, White Bagging, 340B & Other Advocacy Priorities

ASHP’s Government Relations staff work has been hard at work to address some of the most important issues facing pharmacists today.
